Kompliant is a fintech company in the security and ecommerce space. Through Cloud City Development, we had the opportunity to reimagine their design system and customer interface.

ROLE

Responsible for introducing an agile design system, and end-to-end design of the underwriter dashboard.

TEAM

3 designers (including Ian Taylor), 2 product leads, 15+ engineers, 10 timezones.

Kompliant is a financial tech startup optimizing the underwriting process for ecommerce transaction services.

We were brought onboard to support their design team.

Their existing design system was not scaling as quickly as their product vision, causing friction between teams. We reconciled their existing styles and introduced an agile style guide able to meet their growing needs.

We were asked to fully reimagine a crucial piece of their desktop interface: the underwriter dashboard. The goal was to decrease a user’s time to decision by connecting them to the information they need quickly and easily.

How we communicate technical information between teams is essential. Because Kompliant is a blossoming, globally distributed startup with a growing staff, strong documentation was crucial for onboarding and maintaining fluid collaboration between departments.
